Nourishing your body with the proper amount of Omega-3 makes you MUCH healthier and protects you from disease. Omega-3 is an essential fatty acid. Essential Free Fatty Acids (EFFA's) have been the subject of enormous research lately. In particular, there are more than 25,000 clinical trials about Omega-3 that provide overwhelming evidence of its importance for good health and protection against disease. [Giugliano, MD, PhD, Dario, Antonio Ceriello, MD, and Katherine Esposito, MD, PhD. "The Effects of Diet on Inflammation: Emphasis on the Metabolic Syndrome." The public is becoming aware of EFFA's in general, but what few people understand is that the typical Western diet is overloaded with Omega-6, and woefully deficient in Omega-3. Although the optimum ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 is 3:1, it is estimated to be as high as 20:1 or even 50:1 for most of us! A proper ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6 in your body is one of the first important steps in reducing chronic inflammation and thereby lowering your risk of cancer and other degenerative diseases that are caused by chronic inflammation. It is clear that we need more Omega-3 for optimum health.
Extensive research indicates that Omega-3 fatty acids help reduce inflammation and help prevent risk factors associated with chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and arthritis. Symptoms of Omega-3 fatty acid deficiency include fatigue, poor memory, dry skin, heart problems, mood swings or depression, and poor circulation.
Asantae uses only the world's purest, pharmaceutical grade Omega-3 fatty acid in our proprietary HeartShot™ formulation. This Omega-3 is rich in the key anti-inflammatory agents EPA and DHA. Then we microencapsulate this Omega-3, which preserves its full potency, ensures complete bioavailability, increases its shelf life, and eliminates any fishy taste. This highly specialized micro-encapsulation process allows us to add these vital and essential fatty acids to our great tasting HeartShot™ powder drinks!
Studies show that CLA decreases the level of Omega-6 while it increases the concentration of Omega-3 essential fatty acids in various tissues, including bone.
Studies have also shown that CLA reduces abdominal fat without negative effects on other cardiovascular risk factors, and it actually increases insulin activity creating better glucose tolerance and improved insulin action. Abdominal fat is closely related to high insulin levels and is strongly associated with cardiovascular disease.
Other studies in the established animal testing models indicate that supplementing just 0.1% of daily calorie intake with CLA inhibits the development of atherosclerosis. When the rate of supplementation was raised to 1%, there was substantial reduction of already formed atherosclerotic lesions.
Still other studies of CLA have shown it to potentially be effective in protecting against many forms of cancer and even osteoporosis! CLA has also been shown to increase muscle mass while lessening body fats, strengthen the immune system, improve blood lipid profile, increase metabolism and provide powerful anti-oxidant protection in the body.
CLA can also aid in increasing the proportion of fat that is used as an energy source during workouts, sparing valuable glycogen and muscle. And it also stops human platelet aggregation that increases the role that sticky cells play in strokes.
Overall, CLA is one of the most powerful nutritional supplements you can take to help fight heart disease, stroke, cancer, osteoporosis, and many other diseases of our modern era.

Antioxidants are important to overall health because they slow or prevent the oxidation of molecules in the body. This oxidation of molecules in the body produces free radicals that damage cells. Antioxidants not only remove these free radicals, but they also inhibit the creation of more free radicals.
HeartShot is fortified with important antioxidant protection provided by vitamins A, C, E, and CoEnzyme Q-10 (CoQ10), which is known around the world as a 'heart energizer' and has received considerable attention in the medical community for its ability to fight congestive heart failure.
Studies show that 75 percent of heart patients have severe deficiencies of CoQ10. Numerous medical studies around the world have shown that 30 mg. per day of CoQ10 (the amount in each serving of HeartShot), can significantly improve the condition of patients with heart disease.
